Recently on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Nicholas Perricone, hailed the acai berry as "one of the ten superfoods of our time".

I've been doing some research on my own and could it REALLY be true? Can this one berry, whether eaten whole or in a drink really cure diseases and aches and pains? From some of the testimonials, it seems rather believable. And as I said earlier, if it's on Oprah, it's even MORE believable. Acai berries are found on a type of palm tree that is common in the flood plain of the Amazon River. These tiny berries are a dark purple when they are full-grown.
